Rental FAQ

How do I return my book?

We offer 3 free methods to return your books. You may return separate rental orders in the one package/box to assist us in easier returns processing. 

1) Return your books at your local ParcelPoint location.
Visit ParcelPoint via http://parcelpoint.com.au/jekkle. Enter your details, select your most convenient ParcelPoint location, then download and print your ParcelPoint return label (the address should display ParcelPoint Hub, 285 Coward Street, Mascot). Use a ParcelPoint label to lodge your return at a ParcelPoint location.

2) Return your books at an Australia Post Office (not available in all locations - please email info@jekkle.com.au for a label).
Visit ParcelPoint via http://parcelpoint.com.au/jekkle. Enter your details, select Australia Post eParcel, then download and print your Australia Post eParcel label. Use the Australia Post eParcel label to lodge your return at an Australia Post Office.

3) You can return the books to our Head Office located at Unit 3, 1 Coggins Place, Mascot, NSW, 2020 between 10:00am and 5:00pm weekdays. It is a short walk from Mascot station. 

Free Returns are only applicable for rentals. Returns for anything else, as well as refunds or exchanges, will incur a fee of $10.00 when using this service.

Can I write and highlight in the book? 

As the book is being rented to multiple users, please do not write in pen (pencil is fine). We accept minimal highlighting and you may place tabs in the book. 

What happens if I damage or lose the book?

If a book is returned to us in a damaged condition (stained, torn pages, loose binding, etc) or you lose the book, you will be charged the Jekkle list price, less any rental fees already incurred, plus a $4.95 administration fee.

Can I contact the book?

Yes!

What is the average rental period?

In order to allow you sufficient time to return the book, the rental period is usually any time you place the order during the semester to around 2 weeks after the end of the examination period for your particular University.

Are there late fees?

We do ask that the books be returned as soon as you finish your exams (may as well get it out of the way). As much as we hate to charge late fees, we have to implement a late fee policy to encourage students to return the books for use the following semester. Therefore, our late fee policy is to charge $4.95 per week following the due date. If you wish to keep the book for longer, you may buy an extension. I returned my book and there is a delay in delivery that is not in my control?

Please retain your Australia Post receipt as proof of delivery date. As this is out of your control, we will not charge you the late fee.

What if I want to keep the book?

Pay the difference between the Jekkle list price and any rental fees already incurred, plus a $4.95 administration fee, and the book is yours to keep! Please email info@jekkle.com and we can process the purchase. 

You sell used textbooks, but how do I know what the condition is like?

We ensure that all our used textbooks are in excellent condition. Majority of our textbooks will have little to no highlighting. As they have been used, we do not provide active access codes with used textbooks.

Online Access Codes 

As online access codes are designed for one user, we cannot guarantee that you will be receiving an online access code with used textbooks. These online access codes are available for sale separately.

Do you accept cash / EFT / PayPal for rentals?

No, we generally only accept credit/debit card for rental purchases. If you do select EFT, we require the full list price as a deposit (the difference will be refunded on return of the book).

Jekkle Price Promise - Lowest Price Guarantee

Jekkle’s Price Promise to you is to ensure that every one of our textbooks are offered to you at the lowest price possible. You won’t find your textbooks cheaper anywhere else, not the Uni bookstore or any other Australian online retailer. If you do find an in-stock textbook from another Australian retailer (i.e. a retailer who ships books from an Australian address) that is lower than a textbook on www.jekkle.com.au, we will beat the price!

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver Australia wide via Fastway Couriers and Australia Post. For international shipments, please contact info@jekkle.com. 

What are the delivery costs to NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD and SA?

Nothing!

What are the delivery costs to other States?

WA, NT, TAS - Flat $6.50 per order.

How long does it take to deliver?

Orders made within Sydney Metropolitan area generally receive next business day delivery via Australia Post or Fastway, depending on when you place the order. In very few cases, there may be a delay. Please ensure someone is around to sign for your parcel (or allow authority to leave). If you miss your delivery, please call Fastway on (02) 9737 8288 to arrange a re-delivery. You can track your parcel at www.fastway.com.au. 

For the rest of NSW and Interstate, delivery takes between 2-7 business days via Australia Post following dispatch depending which state you live in. If an item states 'ships within 3-7 days', please allow an additional 3-7 business days for delivery. You can track your parcel at http://auspost.com.au/track. 

If you provide us an incorrect address for delivery and the package is returned to us, you will be responsible for paying $8.95 for a re-delivery fee. 

Do you do Express Shipping? 

Yes we do! You can upgrade your order to Express Shipping for Guaranteed Next Business Day Delivery via Australia Post if ordered before 2pm. Select the Express Shipping option at checkout - surcharges apply.

What does available and 'leaves warehouse in 1 business day' mean?

In stock at our warehouse and we will post this out either with Australia Post or Fastway in 1 business day (excluding weekends). Dispatch is at 6pm daily so if you order before 3pm your order will be dispatched on the same day. 

After this the delivery times are dependent on which state you live in. 

What does available and 'leaves warehouse within 3-7 business days' mean?

We are able to order this book with our suppliers and it will generally take between 3-7 business days to dispatch. We will dispatch as soon as we receive the book and will inform you if there is a delay. 

What does 'Out of Stock' mean?

This generally means we are not able to supply this book as the publisher is out of stock. Please email info@jekkle.com for an update.  

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, we offer a 14 day refund period if you drop your course or no longer require the textbooks. You will receive a full refund, less shipping costs. 

Our refund policy does not apply to Vitalsource eBooks or Cengage eBooks. These titles are firm sale. 

If the title is packaged together with an access code, the access code must not be used to be entitled to a refund.

Searching textbooks by course codes

Whilst we try and have all text lists updated on our website, please always consult your subject guideline before purchasing a specific textbook on our website to ensure you are purchasing the correct prescribed textbook.
